In the Sigman Lab, we embrace the fact that we have lived at unique intersections of the human experience: race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religious beliefs, physical ability, and socioeconomic status. This diversity fosters creativity and engages various perspectives that we strongly believe is integral to scientific development. Thus, we strive for equity by cultivating inclusive environments and supporting each lab member's individuality. 

With an emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion, the Sigman lab is committed to understanding and challenging our unconscious biases to promote dialog and intellectual growth. This is a work in progress and thus, we actively aspire to develop and retain an inclusive lab environment via support for current members, collaborations, and outreach.
